Southwestern Ohio K-9 Search and Rescue, Inc. 

(SWOKSAR) is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization and operates as a volunteer organization trained to provide search and rescue functions in wilderness, rural and urban environments.

SWOKSAR provides Search and Rescue (SAR) and Technical Evacuation assistance to local law enforcement, fire departments, and first aid squads.

 
SWOKSAR will respond to any location within a 2-hour radius of Cincinnati, Ohio. The team is available for missions in other locations with travel assistance.

All SWOKSAR members are trained in Standard First Aid and CPR. Members also maintain active training in Rope Rescue, Search and Rescue, Wilderness Emergency Medicine, and Land Navigation. SWOKSAR members train to the NASAR, PADCNR, NYS-dept of Environmental Conservation (NYS-DEC), NFPA 1670 standards.

SWOKSAR works in consort with other Search and Rescue agencies and will respond to mutual aid requests from these organizations to search for lost persons, rescue injured persons and search for crime victims.

SWOKSAR will not provide field service when an active pursuit or apprehension of a potentially dangerous subject is in progress.

SWOKSAR does not charge any fees to individuals or organizations for their services. SWOKSAR relies on donations from the communities they serve: individuals and corporations.
